My husband and I adopted our daughter "Sugar Cookie" from foster care in March 2007. I've learned that infertility is the best gift God could have given us, because it gave us our daughter. Cookie came to us at 2 days old, on December 22, 2005. On July 31st, 2007 our daughter's sister "Bit-Bit" was born and placed with us. We finalized her adoption on October 3, 2008. While our home is now closed to further children, it remains a place for great stories!
Cookie just stole my toe separator thingys. I had really cute ones with smiley faces for the separators. When I found her she was in the process of biting each of the heads off and spitting them out onto the floor. The floor was covered with tiny orange smiley heads all covered in saliva. I guess she was saying "Have a nice day!"

Yay! I found your new post! It is good you left that Job! I work with some nasty people too---I am lucky I don't work full time though---I guess that is how I can put up with it and stay. Another great opportunity will come your way...probably when you least expect it. (doesn't it always happen like that?) Happy belated B-Day!
