what steps we will take next to PREVENT pregnancy (the chances would be a million to one, but anything is possible that isn't actively prevented). That sounds so odd considering where I was last year. But two is plenty for us. We are busting out of our 3 br/2.5 bath house of 1850sq. feet as it is (and that isn't considered a "small" house by some standards). We are done. Besides, when biomom gets out of jail one day she will still need a way to get her cocaine. She does produce lovely babies. But we are fairly convinced that if she produces more, those children will have to become part of yet another family. It's OK, it's someone else's turn to be blessed. Preventing pregnancy...now that's a hoot.

Ha! that is a funny concept for adoptive parents to think about on this side- but so true! My house is about the same and I feel like I am busting out of it with one child and just me! I have too much "stuff" though- and just 2 full baths. I think bunk beds will solve the problem when they get older?? if you end up with another sibling! What are you getting the girls for Christmas?
Funny!
You know what you can handle and what you hoped for-you have!
That is too funny...but I have a feeling that should another child pop up from this biomom, you'd be making room. :)
Oh, and I just caught up on your posts. Your Nov. 26 post made me cry. Beautifully written. It's amazing how God works and how clear the picture is in hindsight.
I haven't checked in for months so I was so happy to read just now about all the wonderful progress in your lives. Even though I don't know ya'll, and rarely post, you are in my prayers. Thanks for you amazing insights into adoption and family.
Such a bizarre and surreal ride we're on, eh?
Birth control isn't such an issue for me and fostermama, but we were recently discussing how we'd like there to be some kind of mandatory birth control for Niblet's mother. She's nowhere near sober/rehab and still very young. We're so sure that there'll be a 6 baby coming into the system any time now.
and if you'd asked me 3 years ago if I'd support mandatory birth control, I'd have definitely said no.
